MANUAL THERAPY / IASTM

Manual therapy and Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) are hands-on techniques that restore mobility and relieve pain by addressing soft tissue restrictions. Our practitioners use specialized tools and skilled hands to break down scar tissue, improve circulation, and release fascial adhesions. These therapies are particularly effective for chronic pain, post-surgical recovery, and sports injuries.

By combining traditional manual techniques with modern IASTM tools, we can precisely target problem areas while promoting faster healing. These treatments complement chiropractic adjustments by preparing soft tissues for proper joint alignment, resulting in longer-lasting pain relief and improved functional movement.

Benefits of Manual Therapy / IASTM

Manual therapy and IASTM provide targeted relief for stubborn soft tissue restrictions, offering a bridge between pain management and functional restoration through specialized hands-on and instrument-assisted techniques.

Manual Therapy / IASTM: What to Know

While sometimes uncomfortable, treatment should stay within tolerable limits as we work to release restrictions - many describe it as "good pain" that leads to relief.

IASTM uses specialized tools to detect and treat specific tissue restrictions more precisely than general massage, focusing on problem areas with controlled pressure.

Tendinitis, muscle strains, post-surgical scarring, chronic pain patterns, and fascial restrictions all show excellent response to manual therapy and IASTM.

Some mild redness is normal, but we monitor tissue response carefully to avoid excessive bruising while still achieving therapeutic effects.

Most patients benefit from 1-2 sessions weekly initially, tapering as tissues improve and home care exercises maintain progress.
